WHY WHITE PINE ATHLETICS: I met Kyle and saw how passionate he was about coaching athletes and helping them reach their goals. Kyle’s a pretty bad ass dude himself. It’s great working with such down to earth and passionate people. Plus I love the emphasis on mountain sports and athletes.
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF: I grew up in Salt Lake City. I have a biology degree from the University of Utah. I spent a year living in South Lake Tahoe where I picked up mountain biking. I’ve been riding bikes almost every day since. I picked up photography when I was about 18. I’ve been chasing faster athletes with my camera gear for the past few years.
WHAT DRIVES YOU AS AN ATHLETE: I love getting outside. For me, it’s an extra level of stress relief on top of just the exercise. I love being surrounded by the scenery and the mountains. I guess that’s the photographer in me. Its what drives me to go faster, further and higher. There’s nothing quite like catching the sunrise from the highest peak around.
